Live music and lively barbecue share the spotlight this weekend at Renziehausen Park.
The McKeesport Rib Fest returns Saturday, Sunday and Monday to the area near the Lions Bandshell, corner of Eden Park Boulevard and Tulip Drive, a spokesman said. This year's festival adds fireworks and a car cruise on Sunday.
Vendors open at 2 p.m. Saturday and will be selling barbecue and other refreshments through 9 p.m. The Buddy Mac Band takes the stage at 4 p.m., while Tres Lads go on at 7 p.m.
On Sunday, vendors again open at 2 p.m. and continue selling through 9 p.m. A car cruise begins at 4 p.m. in the parking lot of McKeesport Area High School, 1960 Eden Park Blvd., and proceeds through Renzie Park for a car show, beginning at 4:30.
On stage, The Grid performs beginning at 3 p.m., followed by William Dell & Wee-Jams at 7 p.m. The Shriners' clowns also will perform, beginning at 7.
Fireworks follow the Wee-Jams concert.
On Labor Day, vendors will be open from 2 to 9 p.m. Johnny Angels and the Halos perform at 7 p.m.
