Schoolhouse Rocks

Gracie, granddaughter of a volunteer at McKeesport Regional History and Heritage Center, colors a photo of McKeesport's first schoolhouse on Saturday.

The center, located in Renziehausen Park, hosted a weekend-long celebration of the 180th anniversary of the schoolhouse. Events included games for children, a discussion of one-room schoolhouses for their parents, and a "sleepover" for stuffed animals.
