I Credit Al Gore For This

At 2:35 pm I posted a used air conditioner for sale. I heard from the first interested party at 2:58 pm. With cash in hand before sundown, I contemplated the possibility of a President from Tennessee. A man who “invented the internet” (thanks for the great job, journalists of America) and warns us of global warming while risking ridicule from right-wing nontellectuals has my attention. We could — whoops, did —do worse.

He does look better and better as time goes on, doesn’t he? I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a Nixon-style comeback in 2008, but without so much corruption and violation of the Constitution. (We’re getting enough of that now as it is.)
