Happy Independence Day!

Feedback on “Happy Independence Day!”

Wonderful cartoon. One of the things online that made my day and holiday. Just two minor quibbles … (1) Shouldn’t one of those patriots be blowing a flute? and (2) Your millions of adoring fans outside of the Mon-Yough region (not to mention those who have learned of your talent reading PopComm on a supermarket shelf) might not realize that Liberty is part of the South Allegheny School District. Otherwise, your artistic genius shines through, as usual.

1.) Yes. In the original painting, two of the patriots are beating drums and the one on the right has the flute/fife. He’s the one the Gladiator replaced.

2.) “Millions”? You have a decimal point in the wrong place. ;-)

2.a.) If they’re not from the Mon-Yough area, who needs ‘em? They need to come back home to the ‘port.

2.b.) Thank you for the kind compliment, but Edith N2ZRW says to just buy the darn magazine and stop hanging out in the aisle at Scozio’s.

“If they’re not from the Mon-Yough area, who needs ‘em”?!?

Sir, you have wounded me to the quick, I say. It takes a rare appreciation for…something…to move to the Mon Valley!
